For no-fee banks where you don't get "slapped" with fees there is PC Financial or Tangerine. Before you get all worried about a bank without branches, or you read about these "online only" banks - They are banks like any other subject to the same regulations and protections of any other bank. Don't get into the mindset of swearing loyalty to a bank. Keep in the know about different financial products and choose the best regardless of bank. In this day and age of online banking it's far less significant to have a one-stop bank. But the fees for the big banks will most likely be higher than right now when I'm using Tangerine and Questrade. However, I'm pretty sure if you put all in one, and have certain amount of cash in the checking, you can get a lot of fees waived. I'm wondering if anyone can recommend me the best bank in terms of this? This is a bit unconventional but, I have banked with a few banks, and I am looking for the best bank that has good customer service, security, and a fantastic mobile app. Currently I'm with RBC, which I must say has amazing all 3, but my dad had some issues where they wouldn't pay out insurance he purchased, and they refused to reimburse him
